The smaller ones look like some kind of spacer that goes between the existing wheel arch liner and the new mudflap.

What does the picture of a thermometer set at 20c in the instructions mean please? Does it mean they need to be fitted when that is the temperature?

Good find. Yeah it looks like a max temperature but I'm guessing the reading is higher than 20c? I can't make it out in the picture.
