Peugeot 108 Suspension Thread

Peugeot says the new 108 will inspire confidence from the first turn of the wheel. While we won't know that de facto until we have some seat time, we can however look at the mechanical bits...

McPherson style strut front suspension
deformable rear axle made from a squished tube

That is all the available information to this point, please add as it comes up!

I can't wait for after market suspension to be available on the 108. That's when things start to get interesting!

Agreed Mr A!

Hopefully they will be fairly cheap and easy to fit. IMO I think it could do with an inch or 2 drop and a bit more stiffness

Do you think going for bigger rims and then dropping the suspension would be possible? ideally I'd like to do both later this year.

I think it would be very possible to put bigger rims and lower the 108. You would just have to find a balance between rim size and how low you want to go. The lower you go, the smaller the rims but you can def put decent size rims (maybe 17''??) and low profile tyres with anywhere from a 1''-2'' drop.

Cheers!

Nice one Marco!

So we're looking at cú145 for 35mm of drop all round. Could be interesting.
I wonder what effect these would have on the general handling.

Right then, I've been looking at my sweet little 108 and I think it needs some height reduction!

Has anyone tried this yet?
