No im a bit heavy footed some times its great i keep thinking the fuel gauge is broken as it never seems to go down but the mpg is pretty fantastic to be honest
Well guys here it is the car is a 1.2 allure top in blue black roof pics to follow the driving experiance for the little 108 has been good it holds the road well and with the size of the car its quiet nippie the only think that seems to be bother me is the shift indicater seems if you follow that your forever changing gear but ive leant to ignore that now and just drive it like im used to the boot is big enough to get at least 7 asda bags full in so again not bad for what it is i havent really got any think bad to say about it to ne honest its a fun and cheap little car and even though you will never break any speed records in it i cant wait to drive it again i seem to find more and more reasons to drive since ive had it just puts a smile on my face every time
Just finished my first tank of fuel. Almost all city driving. Just 45.0 MPG - well short of the published 52.3 figure. Yes, the engine is brand new but it is still quite disapointing. It's not as if I've been thrashing it or sitting in traffic queues.
My old 107 had an official MPG figure of 51.3, 1 less than my 108. It managed 48 MPG in daily use. I'm hoping it will get better as it runs in.
The 108 manual states that you will not get a consistant average until the car has done 1800mls-3000klms, so will take a bit of running in, the 107 was the same and also produced quite a bit more power as the engine loosened up.

I find the best thing to do is find an RPM range that allows you to keep up with the flow of traffic and the speed limit at a good pace, even from a stand still, and stick to that.
i do that with all my vehicles and have reaped the benefits
I've got the 1.0ltr Active version and I'm currently getting an average of 52.3mpg and have 660 miles on the clock, of which about 645 of them have been just pottering around town.
45-48 for a 2-tronic with winter tyres and country road drive commute. 2-3mpg better than both previous 107 2-tronics it replaces ( both on winter tyres)
under 400 miles on clock so hopefully will loosen up by 1000 miles
I'm currently averaging over 50mpg pottering about (1.2 engine less than 300 total miles). Trying to stay off Mways until it's done a few more miles. I can't go on a Mway and drive slowish- it's too tempting >
