I had that problem with my 107.it was the rubber seal not fitting properly combined with the all glass, no metal trim back hatch. I read online it is a design fault with that type of hatchback but I'm not sure if this applies to your daughters 108

My wife's 108 also leaked from the upper brake light into the boot, Peugeot wanted a ridiculous amount of money just to look at it. Eventually got them to replace the brake light at a reasonable price. Peugeot Customer Service didn't want to know, said it wasn't a known problem (google it to see if it is). The 108 upper brake light is different to the 107 but still they leak. Nine months later leaking again into boot, replaced this time free of charge but told only two months warranty, this on a brand new car. Other than that, which is really annoying my wife is happy with the car.

Hi all,

Since the recent heavy rains, I started noticing water ingress in my wife's 108 boot. It appears to come from the top brake light and is causing fungus growth. . From the discussions here and other websites, sealing the light appears to have been tried with differing success. Does anyone have other experience? I would appreciate if you could share. Many thanks
